HOMELocated in the Port of Gold Beach in Gold Beach, Oregon,
Sheriff John's Classic Car and Doll Museum was the rival of all
museums anywhere.
Featuring beautiful vehicles from 1901
to 1972 placed in elaborate and historically accurate
settings, many families found this museum to be
entertaining and educational.
Carol's Artist Doll collection
played a large part in the museum
with characters placed either behind glass, in the classic
car historic settings, in the Old Town Movie Theater
(featuring real old classics), or in the Gift Shoppe.
This collection of Artist Dolls was the largest collection
available for public viewing on the west coast. Artist
Dolls are a 'doll connoisseur' must see!
Summer of 2008 marks the
ninth year (eighth season) that Sheriff John's Classic Car
Museum has been thrilling car and doll enthusiasts.
Sadly, one of the founders of the museum, Carol Gillespie
wife to Sheriff John Gillespie, passed away in 2007.
The 2008 season was dedicated to the memory of Carol
Gillespie and was also the final summer that the museum was open.
The vehicles, dolls, and
memorabilia are being liquidated. If you are
interested in any of the museum items, please contact John
at 541-247-8067 or 541-698-6190 (cell). You may find a
listing of the cars available for sale
here.
Sheriff John and Carol
Gillespie have been pleased to make their collection
available for display. The collection has been their
passion and their pleasure for many years. We hope you
had an opportunity to visit and view this marvelous
collection!
Sheriff John thanks you for your patronage
over the years and bids you a fond farewell!
